Set up a space
Managing Your SpaceArticle
Use Add a space (or My Spaces → Add) to create a new Warm Welcome space. The wizard guides you through the essentials.
Steps in the wizard
- Basic info — name, organisation, address, and space type. After address search, drag the map pin if needed.
- Coordinator — who people (and Warm Welcome) should contact.
- Opening times — warm space session hours (when visitors can come), not necessarily the whole venue’s hours.
- More info — description, photos, and logo. Clear photos help visitors feel welcome.
- Communications preferences — operational emails vs optional marketing (you can change these later).
- Volunteers — whether you want to appear as looking for volunteers.
- Publish — review and make the space public when you’re ready. The public map updates straight away.
Save as you go
Use Save & continue or Save & exit. Draft spaces stay in My Spaces until you publish.
Common questions
Do I need everything filled in before publishing?
You need the core details (especially address and opening times). Incomplete optional fields can be filled later via Edit a space.
Can more than one person manage the space?
Yes — invite teammates from the space overview after the space exists.
What if my building already has another Warm Welcome space?
That’s OK for co-located groups. If you think it’s a true duplicate, get help and the team will advise.
